Hundreds of developers have created applications for social networking sites, such as Facebook, that millions of users integrate into their profiles and interact with on a daily basis. However, questions remain unanswered about standards and best practices around the development and monetization of these products.

AppCamp will focus on four main areas of discussion:
    • Driving Traffic
    • Monetization
    • Understanding User Behavior
    • Apps for Advertising and Marketing

“The open application economy is totally new. No one has all the answers to how this will change consumer behavior and advertiser strategies. We are looking forward to working with our partners in both the application and media spaces to help shape the future of this industry,” said Troy Young, chief marketing officer of VideoEgg. “App-Camp will provide a fun and informative environment for people to learn about application creation and monetization, while also giving marketers, venture capitalists, and developers an opportunity to connect on the most pressing issues in the social networking space. It’s going to be a great day—we’re looking forward to it.”
