VideoEgg is looking for an experienced Web Developer for the creation and support of our server-side products. This position requires a seasoned engineer who knows what it takes to convert designs and product specifications into an AJAX web application that can quickly and reliably support our millions of daily customers.
• Implement new products and features that enhance VideoEgg's customer and partner experience
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Able to work independently, both on new and legacy software systems
• Mentor and coach other members of the software development staff
• Take a lead role in department code reviews and design sessions
• Implement rapid prototypes of new product ideas for scoping, as well as for design presentation
• Resolve production software issues in conjunction with the system administration and development staff
• 5+ years experience of PHP and/or other web application development
• Excellent knowledge of CSS/HTML, cross-browser development, and JavaScript
• Experience developing web applications in a Unix/Linux-based environment
• Good knowledge of object oriented design and design patterns
• Direct experience developing large scale, web-based applications
• Familiarity with web services (SOA, REST, SOAP, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
