VideoEgg is looking for a Sr. Action Script Developer to work on our leading-edge video editing, transcoding, playing, and uploading applications as well as related ad integration technologies. These applications and widgets are implemented in Flash or a combination of Flash and C++ for access to native functions. The applications run in a browser environment and interface with content delivery networks, ad servers, reporting engines, and the like. This is a full-time position in our San Francisco office and will report to the Engineering Manager for Client Applications.
• Design, implementation, and maintenance of Flash-based applications
• Participate in all phases of the software development cycle
• Communicate design decisions as they are specified
• Work with QA to ensure a maintainable and testable design and result
• 6+ years software development experience
• 2+ years of development in Action Script
• Previous development experience in languages other than Action Script
• Experience in a real company environment involving a healthy product management organization, architects, dev and QA process, and a customer-facing support organization
• Proven ability to participate in multiple, concurrent projects
• Track record of documenting work and writing specifications
• BA/BS or equivalent
